By visiting the website, you can download the product and it is recognized as one of the best online piano lessons products around for the introductory student. If you want online piano lessons to learn to play the piano with very little cost, this is the package for you. Below are reviews of the first 3 chapters. There are a lot more but it will give you a taster of what to expect.

Online Piano Lesson One - Piano Facts and History

This is good background reading to the piano. Containing interesting facts, history and information about the piano which are vital to know to start learning the instrument. To assist you, there are diagrams and well written background information regarding the parts of the piano, how they work and how they interact with each other. Overall, a really good introduction and I even learned some useful tips and information that I wasn’t aware of.

Online PIano Lesson Two - The Basics

This is the starting block of online piano lessons. Included are highly recommended examples such as how you should sit at the piano. Well drawn diagrams assist you with every possible query you may have regarding the sitting position and you’ll learn about hand and wrist positioning with particular emphasis given towards finger strength and agility. Again, complemented with diagrams, you are shown finger numbering. Next, the layout of the keyboard. Shown graphically you see the finger numbering system shown previously and then you are let loose with some easy exercises. Note reading is introduced with a clear and simple approach giving definitions and introductions to rhythm. Further discussions then take place about the basics of the piano as mentioned in this website including the notation for whole notes, half notes, quarter notes, eighth notes, and sixteenth notes. Complementing this are a series of really easy exercises which put the basic rudiments into practice. Audio clips are provided for each exercise ensuring your correct learning.

Online Piano Lesson Three - The Musical Alphabet

Chapter Three starts with a graphic of the keyboard with all the notes labeled. Following the middle C hand position, you have a short exercise for both hands to familiarize you with the surrounding notes at middle C. You also learn about Time Signatures, intervals, sharps and flats, scales, rhythm, arpeggios, staves; the list is endless. Again, there are important and easy exercises to complete that also have audio tracks attached to them.

There are loads of extras that come with the e-book. Firstly, a music theory game called Jayde Musica which really helps reinforce what you have learned so far and help make learning the piano fun for children, Keycelerator and Chordinator which will assist you with chord and keyboard patterns and Perfect Your Pitch which is all about ear training, which is so important not only to pianists but any musician.

However, I’ve saved the best extras till last. For me, the best ones are the Metronome and the book Advance Learning Techniques for the Piano. This book covers all the important fundamentals of learning to play the instrument.

You can also choose the extra which covers Jazz Piano developing rhythm, syncopation and chords. This is a bit more advanced than the Rocket Piano Book however, once you have read and learnt from the Rocket Piano Book you should be able to grasp this OK.

If you’re serious about learning to play the piano, you can not go wrong with Rocket Piano. The cost for what you get is extremely good and you will probably learn a lot more through these methods than you will paying for 1 or 2 lessons with a piano tutor.
